The TTAG delegation, led by H.E. Razak Soale, met the Director-General, Prof. Frank Kofi Davis, in the company of key officials from the Directorate, including the Head of Legal Affairs, Internal Auditor, Head of Public Relations and the General Secretary of the Ghana Education Service. We are pleased to report the following key outcomes from the engagement:

1. GES has prepared and submitted the full recruitment budget covering all graduate teachers from the public Colleges of Education.

2. The budget has been successfully defended and approved by the Ministry of Finance and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Education.

3. The process is currently awaiting financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance after which GES will commence recruitment and posting.

The Director-General was emphatic in his assurance that recruitment will certainly take place this year. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a smooth and transparent recruitment process for all affected graduates, especially as this will mark his first recruitment exercise.

We appreciate the Director-General’s openness and proactive approach to addressing our concerns. We also appeal to all relevant authorities to act with urgency to ensure that the necessary financial clearance is secured without delay.

We remain committed to keeping the 2023 College of Education graduates informed and will continue to engage key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance, to expedite the clearance process. We urge all 2023 graduates to remain calm and confident as we push for timely postings.
