The National Service Authority (NSA) says the monthly allowance for national service personnel, currently GH¢715, will be increased soon. Acting Director-General Ruth Dela Seddoh revealed that discussions are underway with government to uplift the stipend, noting that President Mahama is supportive of a review. Seddoh urged patience as formal adjustments are in the works and emphasized that the upgrade is part of broader efforts to improve the welfare of young graduates serving under the National Service Scheme. She also announced that a new automated system for allowance payments and personnel verification is being introduced to eliminate “ghost names” and ensure transparent disbursement.
Who qualified for this NSS new registration?
The current new registration NSS is strictly for university graduates who are set to begin their national service this year. College of education students who graduated this year are not part of this registration.
The service personnel are to prepare to start their national service 3rd November 2025. The NSS portal is active and service personnel can log into the portal to begin their registration.
NSA Director General warn personnel against that no link should be use for the registration apart from the official link on the website of NSA and any other link is deem unfit and fraud.
Personnel are to stay vigilant at this moment while going through the process.
