UCC 2025/2026 Academic Calendar: Everything You Need to Know

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has officially released its 2025/2026 academic calendar, outlining key dates for the entire academic year. The first semester begins with re-sit and supplementary examinations for Levels 100 to 600, scheduled from Monday, 13th October to Friday, 24th October 2025. Results for these examinations will be released between 3rd and 7th November 2025. Continuing students and postgraduate students are expected to complete online registration starting Monday, 6th October 2025, followed by the submission of continuing student reports on 8th November. Lectures for continuing students officially commence on Monday, 10th November 2025.
For students who failed Level 100 courses, a second re-sit/supplementary examination period will run from 17th to 21st November 2025. Adding and dropping of courses end on 5th December, and the first continuous assessment for continuing students will be conducted from 8th to 12th December 2025. UCC’s 58th Congregation is scheduled for 17th December, after which students will break for Christmas from 22nd December 2025 to 2nd January 2026.
Fresh Level 100 students are expected to report on Monday, 5th January 2026, while online orientation and registration will take place from 6th to 8th January 2026. Lectures for freshmen begin on 12th January 2026. Continuous assessments for both continuing and Level 100 students will take place in January and February, followed by revision weeks and semester examinations. Continuing students will have their semester exams from 23rd February to 13th March 2026, while Level 100 students will write theirs from 30th March to 10th April 2026. The semester officially ends in April, with results released between 18th April and 15th May 2026.
The second semester kicks off with online registration for all students on 11th April 2026, and lectures begin on 27th April. Adding and dropping of courses end on 9th May, followed by the first continuous assessment from 18th to 22nd May. The second continuous assessment will be held in mid-June, and lectures for all students will end on 10th July 2026. Revision periods are scheduled for 13th to 18th July, with semester examinations taking place from 20th July to 8th August 2026.
After the exams, students will proceed on a long vacation break from 8th August to 2nd October 2026. Marking and grading of examination scripts will occur between 8th August and 19th September, and results will be released from 14th to 18th September 2026. Re-sit and supplementary examinations for all levels are scheduled between 28th September and 2nd October, with results released by mid-October. A second re-sit period for failed Level 100 courses will take place from 26th to 30th October 2026, and the results will be released on 9th November 2026.
The academic calendar also outlines the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, with fresh students reporting on 3rd October 2026. Additionally, the 2026 Sandwich Session begins on 20th July 2026 with online registration, lectures, orientation, and revision leading up to the end-of-sandwich semester examinations on 26th September 2026.
