A final-year student, whose identity remains protected, has reportedly been confirmed pregnant by St. Anthony Hospital in Dzodze. She claims the headmaster had sexual intercourse with her against her will. In a separate allegation, a 14-year-old first-year student says she was taken to a hotel in Dzodze where she was sexually assaulted by the headmaster.

The school’s Senior Headmistress, Eva Kueliho, confirmed the incidents to Fafaa 100.3 FM, noting that the school has initiated internal investigations while awaiting full findings from law enforcement agencies. The Bureau of National Investigations and the Ghana Police Service are both involved in the case.

Mr. Vidzro has denied all accusations, describing them as attempts to tarnish his reputation. He insists he is prepared to undergo a DNA test if necessary. In an audio recording obtained by Fafaa FM, a conversation between the headmaster and the pregnant student suggests he acknowledged being informed of the pregnancy and promised further discussion.

Beyond the specific accusations, undercover interactions with several students suggest a wider problem. They allege a pattern of sexual harassment within the school, claiming that some nearby hotels have become frequent meeting spots for predatory behavior involving certain teachers and even security officers. Students say these issues are contributing to the school’s declining academic performance.

The Ghana Education Service Regional Office in Ho has directed Mr. Vidzro to step aside from his duties effective Monday, December 8, 2025, pending the outcome of the investigation. This decision aims to ensure transparency and prevent any interference as authorities dig deeper into the claims.

The unfolding case has heightened calls for stronger student protection measures across schools in the region, with many urging quicker institutional responses whenever such allegations arise.
