According to the Council, the new deadline for registration is now Monday, 5th January, 2026. The extension comes in response to challenges faced by some candidates who were unable to finalize their registration within the earlier stipulated period. By granting this extra time, the Council hopes to ensure that no eligible candidate is denied the opportunity to sit for the examination due to avoidable delays.

The Council is therefore urging all prospective candidates who have started but not completed their registration process, as well as those who are yet to begin, to take full advantage of this extended period. Candidates are advised to ensure that all required information is accurately provided and that registration procedures are properly followed to avoid complications.

The West African Examinations Council emphasized that no further extension should be expected after the new deadline, and candidates are encouraged to act promptly. Completing the registration early will also help candidates avoid last-minute technical issues and unnecessary stress.

The announcement was signed by the Head of the National Office, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to fairness, accessibility, and effective examination administration across the country.
