Ghana Custom service recruitment form is out

The Ghana Custom service has opened applications for several officer-level positions, offering opportunities for both graduates and non-graduates who meet specific requirements. These roles are structured to attract qualified individuals with strong academic backgrounds, professional competence, and the discipline required for public service.

For graduate applicants seeking an Operational Officer position, three entry categories are available. The first category is open to candidates who hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution. Acceptable fields include Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Information Technology, Statistics, or other closely related disciplines. Applicants must have completed their mandatory National Service.

The second graduate category also requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in similar relevant fields. In addition to academic qualifications, applicants must not be more than thirty-three years old as of January 1, 2026. Physical standards apply, with a minimum height requirement of 5.6m ( 5 feet,6 inches )for males and  5.3m(5 feet 3 inches) for females. Completion of mandatory National Service is also required.

The third graduate category targets candidates with strong academic performance. Applicants must possess at least a second-class lower degree in areas such as Accounting, Information Technology, Taxation, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Law. In addition, candidates must have passed at least one professional examination stage with recognized bodies such as ICA, ACCA, CIMA, or CITG. As with the other categories, National Service completion is mandatory.

There is also an opportunity for those interested in an Administrative Officer position. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in Law, along with a qualifying certificate from the Ghana School of Law. Applicants must be enrolled on the Roll of Lawyers in Ghana and be members in good standing with the Ghana Bar Association. Completion of National Service is a compulsory requirement for this role.

For non-graduate applicants, entry is also available under the Operational Officer track. In the first non-graduate category, candidates must possess five WASSCE credits, including English and Mathematics. Applicants must not be older than twenty-six years as of January 1, 2026, and must meet the same height requirements applied to graduate applicants. National Service completion is required.

The second non-graduate category is open to candidates with a University Diploma or Higher National Diploma. Age and height requirements remain the same, and applicants must have completed their mandatory National Service.

All selected candidates will work under normal conditions of service as defined by the statutes of the Republic of Ghana.
