The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has officially announced a change in the resumption date for all public Colleges of Education across Ghana. The decision, communicated to principals nationwide, forms part of measures to ensure a well-coordinated and effective start to the academic calendar.

According to the statement issued by the leadership of PRINCOF, the reopening date initially planned for mid-January has been moved to 9th February. The new schedule is intended to give institutions adequate time to finalize critical academic and administrative preparations ahead of students’ return to campus.

PRINCOF explained that the adjustment is necessary to allow colleges to complete ongoing internal arrangements that are vital for smooth academic operations. These preparations are expected to enhance teaching delivery, improve learning outcomes, and support overall institutional readiness for the semester.
