Applications officially open on Tuesday, 20 January 2026, and will close on Friday, 20 February 2026. Prospective applicants are required to apply through the official GETFund scholarship portal, where the online application form can be accessed and completed. Applicants must provide accurate personal and academic information and upload scanned copies of all required documents for vetting and shortlisting.

The application process is fully online and structured to ensure fairness and transparency. Once applications are submitted, they will go through a review and vetting process. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted after the assessment has been completed. Full details on application requirements, eligibility conditions, and the overall process are available on the scholarship portal and should be carefully reviewed before submission.

GETFund has issued important guidelines to protect applicants. All correspondence will be conducted strictly between GETFund and the individual scholarship applicants. Applications must be submitted only through the official portal, as the Fund has not appointed any individual or agency to act as an intermediary. Applicants are advised to report anyone claiming to facilitate scholarship placement to the nearest police station.

Certain categories of students are not eligible to apply under this scheme. These include first-year regular undergraduate students in public tertiary institutions, diploma students in Colleges of Education, diploma students in Nursing Training Colleges, and persons with disabilities in public tertiary institutions from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. However, applicants in these categories may be eligible for support under the Students Loan Trust Fund, including government initiatives such as the No Fees Stress and PWD support programmes.

For continuing undergraduate students seeking financial support to complete their studies, the GETFund undergraduate local scholarship offers a valuable opportunity to receive assistance and focus on academic success. Applicants are encouraged to apply within the stated period and ensure all submitted information is complete and accurate.
