The Obrachire Senior High Technical School Student, Akpaka Kwame Fiadzigbe who was brutally attacked during the recent inter-schools athletics competition held in Swedru has broken his silence, recounting the terrifying ordeal and calling on the government to take full responsibility for ensuring justice.
According to the victim, the incident occurred at a moment when he was simply looking for a place to sit and rest. While moving round, he suddenly heard loud noises behind him. When he turned to look back, he saw his colleagues running in fear. Before he could fully understand what was happening, a group of students, believed to be from Swedru Senior High School, popularly known as SWESBUS, reportedly descended on him.
The victim explained that the attackers began beating him mercilessly and stoning, and stamping him without any provocation. He described the situation as chaotic and frightening, stating that he was completely defenseless and confused about why he had been targeted. The sudden nature of the attack left him with injuries and emotional trauma, overshadowing what was supposed to be a peaceful sporting event meant to promote unity and healthy competition among schools.

Speaking speaking to the media, the student said he has no intention of personally retaliating or seeking revenge against the perpetrators. Instead, he appealed to the government and relevant state institutions to take charge of the matter. According to him, the case should be handled by the authorities, who should take whatever action they deem necessary against those found culpable. He stressed that allowing such acts of violence to go unpunished could encourage future occurrences at school events across the country.

The victim is believed to hail from a community known as Amuman, located in the GA South Municipal, before gaining admission to Obrachire Senior High School. He continued to expressed hope that justice will be served, not only for his sake but also to protect other students from similar attacks in the future.
The incident has reignited concerns about student violence at inter-school sporting events, with many calling for improved security and stricter disciplinary measures to ensure the safety of all participants.
