Majority of parents especially those who can’t afford tertiary Education fees for their children after secondary school went to he poll and voted for NDC massively based on such promises.
Before NDC assume office, all first year students have already paid their academic fees ready to go to school.
During the first quarter budget, the government allocated GH¢499.8 million to cater for the No fees stress policy.
The Policy has fully been implemented and it affected the 2025 first year students admitted.
Currently, the government has launched a portal to allow students interested in loan for subsequent fees payment to apply for loan.
The government initially intended to keep the fund for the subsequent fees payment.
The information reaching JUSMAnewshub now is that, John Dramani Mahama, the president of the Republic of Ghana has instructed the finance minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson to refund all students with their academic fees paid this year.
This may be a good news for some parents since this initiative may have helped reduce some financial burden.
