Goku Justice - 8th February 2026

The Ministry of the Interior, through the Centralized Services E-Recruitment Portal, has released an official update on the ongoing 2025/2026 security services recruitment process. The update outlines the structure, schedule, categories, and rules governing the online aptitude and trade tests for all applicants.

Below is a clear and systematic presentation of the key details.

Mode of Examination

All aptitude tests will be conducted online. Applicants are advised to use a computer system equipped with a functional webcam and microphone to ensure a smooth testing experience. Enhanced monitoring systems will be used throughout the examination period.

Applicant Categories and Question Format.

Applicants are grouped into three main categories:

This category will answer 30 aptitude questions. Candidates under this group will also be required to undertake an additional trade test based on their selected trade vacancies.

HND, Degree, and Master’s Degree Holders

Applicants in this category will answer 60 aptitude questions.

WASSCE Applicants

Candidates applying with WASSCE qualifications will also answer 60 aptitude questions.

The overall pass mark for the aptitude test is set at 65%.

Test Guidelines and Monitoring

Once the test begins, it cannot be paused, saved, or restarted. The system will automatically submit responses when the allotted time ends. Applicants must answer each question before moving to the next one.

ALSO SEE Documentation and body screening results are ready in your application portal.

An enrollment stage will be conducted before the test begins to verify identity, test webcam functionality, confirm internet strength, and assess surrounding noise levels. Candidates must maintain proper face alignment throughout the test duration to avoid disqualification. Any attempt at impersonation or malpractice will attract sanctions.

Applicants who applied to multiple services will take the aptitude test only once, unless they applied under different categories across separate services.

This means the aptitude test is not repeated for each service you applied to, as long as your qualification category is the same.

If an applicant applied to more than one security service for example, the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Immigration Service but under the same qualification category (such as WASSCE only), the applicant will write the aptitude test once. That single test result will be used for all the services applied for.

However, if an applicant applied to different services under different qualification categories, the rule changes. For instance, an applicant who applied with WASSCE for one service and HND or Degree for another service falls into separate categories. In that case, the applicant will be required to take the aptitude test more than once, because each category has different test requirements and structures.

In simple terms:One category equals one test, no matter how many services were selected.

Different categories across services require separate tests.
