GES to Dismiss Staff Involved in Examination Malpractices

JUSMAnewshub - 25th July,2025

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong warning to its personnel involved in any form of examination malpractice, stating that such individuals will be dismissed from service. This decision comes in response to recent reports of misconduct during ongoing examinations under the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

According to GES, integrity remains a cornerstone of the nation’s education system, and any breach of conduct undermines public confidence and the future of Ghanaian students. As such, the Service has made it clear that there will be no tolerance for staff—whether invigilators, supervisors, or coordinators—who aid, abet, or participate in any malpractice. The GES further urged school heads and education directors across all regions to reinforce vigilance and accountability during examination periods. Officials caught compromising the sanctity of the process will face immediate investigation and, where found culpable, termination of appointment in accordance with the GES Code of Conduct.

This move is part of broader efforts to uphold credibility and restore trust in Ghana’s public examination framework.
