GPA Calculation

To calculate the GPA:

  1. Multiply the grade point of each course by its credit hours to get the weighted points.
  2. Sum all weighted points.
  3. Divide the total weighted points by the total credit hours.

For example, if a student has the following grades:

  • Course A: B+ (3.5) in a 3-credit course
  • Course B: A (4.0) in a 2-credit course

Weighted points = (3.5 × 3) + (4.0 × 2) = 10.5 + 8 = 18.5 Total credit hours = 3 + 2 = 5 GPA = 18.5 / 5 = 3.7

Note: For repeated courses, both grades are recorded, but only the higher grade is considered in the GPA calculation.
