Interior Ministry announced date for medical examination for 2025/2026 recruitment

The 2025/2026 recruitment into the national security service in Ghana is still ongoing. The process started with online application process as phase one, body screening and documentation as phase two, online aptitude test as phase three and medical examination which is yet to start as phase four.

Ministry of interior has announced recently the timeline and guidelines for the medical examination.  According to the ministry, qualified applicants will be sent an SMS and also will be updated on their application portal on 27th March to 31st March notifying them when the medical examination will start, venue, time and particulars involved.

As 1st April, majority of the qualified applicants have received messages and on their application portal indicating when medical examination will start, venue, time and particulars involved.

According to the ministry, applicants shall take mental assessment test on the portal before reporting to the medical venue.

Majority of the applicants has reached out to me for clarification on this mental assessment test. I want to state that,  this is not a test to fail you from medical. When we talk about mental assessment, it’s something test if truly you do not have any mental health problems or you are a normal human without any mental health issues.

For instance, they make ask about your health issue such as, how often do you experience headaches, have you experience any mental challenge like madness or turmoil before?

They also ask  puzzles questions like choose the color red among the following colors to detect where indeed you are normal. Every normal human being will definitely know red from other colors.

Please note that this is not anything made to disqualify you from taking part in the medical examination. This is just a normal thing and shouldn’t put fear and panic in you as an applicant.

Applicants are to prepare an amount of GH¢ 1,400 down as the medical examination fee.

The relevant documents needed is your Ghana card and your application report but please kindly go with all the necessary documents to prevent you from any misfortune at the venue.

Medical is set to start on 11th April 2026.
