The Ghana Education Service has strongly denounced an attack on a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School after a disturbing video of the incident spread across social media. The footage shows Mr. Michael Quayson being physically assaulted by individuals identified as past students of the school.
According to a preliminary report submitted to GES Management, the incident occurred on 5th October 2025. The assailants allegedly confronted the teacher over claims that he was too strict while supervising them during the Christian Religious Studies paper in the 2025 WASSCE. The aggression, captured on camera, only came to light weeks later when the video began circulating widely online.

GES has since taken full control of the matter and has commenced a formal investigation to establish all facts and identify every individual involved.
Management expressed deep concern and condemned the act, describing it as unacceptable and a threat to the dignity and safety of teachers across the country. GES stressed that no form of violence against educators will be tolerated, and any student past or present found culpable will face appropriate sanctions as outlined in national laws and GES regulations.
