As part of the Ministry of the Interior’s supervisory mandate, the Minister toured the facility, observed the screening process firsthand, and interacted with both applicants and officers supervising the exercise. Addressing the applicants, Mr Mohammed-Mubarak cautioned them to follow laid-down processes and resist the temptation to cut corners. He warned strongly against deceptive practices and the activities of unscrupulous middlemen who demand money with false promises of influencing the recruitment process, stressing that such acts will not be tolerated.

The Interior Minister made it clear that anyone found engaging in fraud or attempting to undermine the integrity of the exercise will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law. He urged applicants to rely solely on official channels and avoid dealing with individuals claiming special access or connections.

Mr Mohammed-Mubarak further revealed that a centralised and systematic payment system has been introduced to enhance transparency and accountability. According to him, the system allows applicants to track their payments and receipts, a move expected to significantly reduce incidents of fraud and eliminate human interference in the payment process.

He also disclosed that strong monitoring and security measures have been deployed to safeguard the credibility of the recruitment exercise. These measures include oversight by the Criminal Investigations Department, the Police Intelligence Directorate, the National Signals Bureau, and other relevant security agencies to ensure the process remains clean, credible, and free from manipulation.

The Minister encouraged applicants to remain patient throughout the screening period and assured them that government is committed to building a disciplined, professional, and corruption-free Prisons Service that serves the nation with integrity and dedication at all times across the country nationwide.
