National Service 2026/2027: Colleges of Education students have started receiving SMS from NSSGH for personnel details confirmation

Goku Justice - 26th February 2026

The message came in quietly, but it carried weight. A simple SMS from NSSGH confirming that details had been submitted to the National Service Authority. For many 2025 graduates of Colleges of Education, that text is more than a notification. It is the official sign that the next chapter has begun.

College like Komenda College of Education has officially submitted the details of its 2025 graduates to the National Service Scheme Ghana for the 2026/2027 national service year. This means that former students who completed their Bachelor of Education programs in 2025 should begin receiving SMS notifications from NSSGH confirming their submitted data.

One such message reads:

“Hello JUSTICE MORGEFA, your details have been submitted to the National Service Authority by KOMENDA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION. Student ID: Example 000. Surname: GOKU. Other names: JUSTICE MORGEFA. Course: B.ED. JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION. Qualification: BACHELOR. DOB: 25 December 0000. If any detail is incorrect, please contact your school administrator.”

This message confirms that the institution has fulfilled its responsibility by forwarding graduate data for processing. It also gives graduates an opportunity to verify their personal details before the next phase of national service begins.

For students who completed their programs in 2025, this is a crucial stage in the national service process. Submission of details by your college means your information is now in the system of the National Service Authority. The next steps will include validation, registration, and eventual posting.

Receiving the SMS is important for three key reasons:

1. It confirms your eligibility for the 2026/2027 national service year.

2. It allows you to review your personal and academic information. Errors in names, dates of birth, student ID numbers, or course details can cause serious delays later.

3. It signals that the national service cycle is officially underway.

Graduates are strongly encouraged to read their messages carefully. If there are any mistakes, they should immediately contact their school administrator for correction. Delays in correcting errors can affect postings and registration timelines.

Other Colleges of Education Should Take Note

While Komenda College of Education has completed its submission, the big question now is: have other Colleges of Education done the same?

Reports indicate that graduates from some institutions have already started receiving SMS notifications from NSSGH. If you completed your program in 2025 and have not received any message yet, it may be worth confirming with your school administration whether your details have been submitted.

Do not assume everything is automatic. Institutions must actively forward graduate data to the National Service Authority. Without this submission, graduates cannot proceed to the next stage of registration.

Students from other Colleges of Education across Ghana are advised to:

Confirm with their academic affairs office or administration if submissions have been made.

Check their phones regularly for official SMS messages from NSSGH.

Ensure that the phone number provided to the school is active and accessible.

Act early if no message has been received while colleagues from other schools are already getting notifications.

The national service process is structured and time-sensitive. Errors discovered too late can lead to stress, last-minute corrections, and in some cases, delayed postings.

This early SMS verification stage is an opportunity. It allows graduates to correct mistakes before registration officially opens. Something as small as a spelling error in your name could affect future documentation, certificates, or payment processes.

Graduates should treat this stage seriously. Keep the message. Screenshot it. Compare the details with your academic records. If everything is correct, you can confidently wait for the next announcement from the National Service Authority.

Completing college is a major achievement. Moving into national service is the bridge between training and professional life. For Bachelor of Education graduates, especially those in Junior High School Education, national service often becomes the first real classroom experience as a certified teacher.

The submission of details by Komenda College of Education is not just administrative work. It represents transition. It represents responsibility. It represents readiness.

For other Colleges of Education, the expectation is clear. Graduates are watching. SMS notifications have started rolling out. If your institution has not yet communicated about submission to NSSGH, now is the time to ask questions.

The 2026/2027 national service year is approaching. For some, the journey has officially begun with a simple text message.

If you are a 2025 graduate, check your phone. Check your details. Confirm with your

school. And prepare for the next phase of your professional life.
