Parliament’s Roads and Transportation Committee Engages Ghana Aviation Authority on Industry Efficiency and Environmental Impact

The Roads and Transportation Committee of Parliament convened a strategic session with the Ghana Aviation Authority (GAA) at the Holiday Inn, located near Kotoka International Airport. The meeting centered on enhancing the operational efficiency of the aviation sector and ensuring rigorous maintenance standards for aircraft.

A key point of discussion was the environmental impact of aviation fuel emissions. The Committee and GAA deliberated on sustainable practices and mitigation strategies to reduce harmful fumes, protect public health, and advance Ghana’s broader environmental goals.

During the concluding session, the Hon. Isaac Awuku Yibor, Member of Parliament for the Domeabra-Obom Constituency, held discussions with key stakeholders to advocate for employment opportunities for his constituents. He reaffirmed his commitment to job creation, especially for the youth, and emphasized the need for critical infrastructure such as road networks and access to clean water.

Following engagement with the GAA, Hon. Yibor paid a working visit to the Municipal Chief Executive for Ga South, Mr. Moses Kabu Kubi Ocansey. Their discussions focused on the state of roads in the Domeabra-Obom Constituency and identifying practical solutions to improve transportation and connectivity in the area.
