Step by step guide for your NSS PIN

Step 1: Check for PIN Release Announcement

• The NSS usually announces the release of PINs for the new service year on their official website (www.nss.gov.gh) and social media platforms.
• Ensure your school has submitted your final year details to the NSS.

Step 2: Visit the NSS Portal

• Go to the NSS official portal: https://portal.nss.gov.gh
• Click on “Check & Pay for PIN” under the PIN section.

Step 3: Enter Your Details

• Input your Index Number/School ID Number and Date of Birth (format: DD/MM/YYYY).
• Click Search to check if your PIN is available.

Step 4: Make Payment for the NSS PIN

You must pay a processing fee of GH₵40 via:

1. MTN Mobile Money (MoMo)
   • Dial *170#
   • Select Pay Bill → General Payments
   • Enter “NSS” as the payment code
   • Enter your NSS reference number
   • Confirm the payment
2. E-Zwich / Bank Payment
   • Visit any ADB or designated bank with your reference number to pay.

Step 5: Retrieve Your NSS PIN

• After payment, go back to the NSS portal and enter your details again.
• Your NSS PIN will be displayed (e.g., NSSGHCXXXXX).
• Copy and save it for later use.

Step 6: Proceed with NSS Registration

• Once you have your PIN, you can proceed with the online registration for deployment.
