At the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), we’ve always believed that access to education financing shouldn’t be limited by bureaucratic hurdles—especially not for something as simple as age.
Until recently, students under the age of 18 in Ghana faced a frustrating roadblock. They couldn’t complete their loan applications through our No-Fees-Stress online portal because the system required them to have a bank account—a requirement minors legally couldn’t meet. This restriction kept too many young students from accessing the support they needed to pursue higher education. Join us on WhatsApp for more updates https://chat.whatsapp.com/IwYdwerq679JpLNCAQXatL

That’s why we’ve made a key update to the No-Fees-Stress application portal. Now, students under 18 can continue their application process without needing to open a bank account. Instead, they can simply indicate they don’t have one and provide their parent or guardian’s name for verification. It’s that easy.
This small adjustment removes a significant barrier. It reflects our commitment to making student loan access more inclusive, and it’s one more step in our mission to ensure no student is left behind because of age or access limitations.
We encourage eligible students to log in to the portal and begin or continue their applications. With this update, they’re just a few clicks away from getting the financial support they need to stay focused on learning not on paperwork.
