The Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) has officially announced the opening of applications for its postgraduate degree programmes in Defence, International Politics, and Security Studies. Located at the Otu Barracks in Teshie-Accra, the institution continues to position itself as a leading centre for advanced military and security education in Ghana and beyond.

According to the announcement, the programmes are accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), reinforcing their credibility and academic relevance. The college is inviting qualified applicants to enroll in three key programmes: a full-time PhD in Defence and International Politics, a weekend-based MSc in Defence and International Politics, and a weekend MSc in Security Studies. These programmes are designed to equip professionals with strategic knowledge and analytical skills needed to address contemporary global and regional security challenges.

The deadline for PhD applications is set for April 30, 2026, while applications for MSc programmes will close on October 31, 2026.

PhD candidates are expected to commence studies in September 2026, while MSc students will start in January 2027.
