The Supplementary Promotion Examination is designed for GES staff who were shortlisted but could not complete or benefit from earlier promotion arrangements. It provides an additional opportunity for assessment and consideration for promotion based on professional knowledge and competence. As part of the preparation process, candidates are advised to confirm their shortlisting status through their Regional Education Offices and ensure they have access to their correct index numbers.
Each shortlisted applicant has been assigned an index number, which serves as the official identification for the examination. Candidates are required to keep this number safe, as it will be used throughout the examination process. Any discrepancies regarding index numbers should be reported promptly to the appropriate authorities at the regional level.

To ensure effective administration, GES has grouped the regions into examination zones, with each zone assigned a specific examination center. Candidates are expected to write the examination only at the center designated for their zone, regardless of their current posting. Familiarity with the examination venue ahead of time is strongly encouraged to avoid challenges on the examination day.
