The Ministry of the Interior has announced an extension of the aptitude test dates for Category C applicants under the Centralized Services E-Recruitment Portal 2025/2026
Goku Justice - 21st February 2026

The Ministry of the Interior has announced an extension of the aptitude test dates for Category C applicants under the Centralized Services E-Recruitment Portal 2025/2026. The decision follows reports of technical challenges faced by some WASSCE applicants who were unable to complete their online aptitude test within the initial timeframe.
In an official communication, the Ministry acknowledged the difficulties and assured applicants that measures have been put in place to guarantee fairness and equal opportunity. As part of the intervention, the deadline for Category C applicants has been extended to 28 February 2026. A structured mop-up exercise has been scheduled to allow affected candidates to retake the test in designated service-based batches.
The mop-up exercise will begin on 21 February 2026 and run through 28 February 2026. Applicants for the Ghana Immigration Service will take their turn from 21 February to 23 February 2026. This will be followed by candidates for the Ghana Police Service from 24 February to 25 February 2026. The final batch, comprising applicants for the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Prisons Service, will sit for their tests from 26 February to 28 February 2026.

Beyond Category C, the Ministry also announced a general mop-up exercise for all categories, from A to C. This broader exercise is scheduled for 12 March 2026. The Ministry indicated that results from the aptitude test process will be published on 4 March 2026, giving applicants clarity on the next stage of the recruitment process.
Authorities further explained that text messages will be sent directly to all affected applicants. These SMS notifications will guide them to log back into the recruitment portal and retake the aptitude test within their assigned dates. However, the Ministry emphasized that the 82 percent of applicants who have already completed their tests successfully will not be able to access the portal during the mop-up period until the official release of results.
To address lingering concerns, a live social media session has been scheduled for 22 February 2026 at 8:30 p.m. The session will be led by the technical facilitator and will focus on resolving issues related to the aptitude test and other recruitment concerns. Further details about the broadcast will be shared soon.
