The National Service Authority has announced extension of deadline for registration

JUSMAnewshub - 16th October,2025

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for national service personnel, moving the date from October 15th to October 24th. This decision was made to allow more time for prospective personnel who are encountering challenges during the registration process to resolve their issues and complete their enrollment successfully.

According to the Authority, a significant number of personnel have faced difficulties due to mismatches in their Ghana Card details, especially with names and dates of birth. To address this, the NSA has directed that anyone experiencing such discrepancies should swear an affidavit and have it gazetted immediately. These documents will serve as official proof to enable affected individuals to correct their details and proceed with their registration without further delays. In addition, the NSA has instructed all relevant agencies, including the **National Identification Authority (NIA), the Births and Deaths Registry, and the Gazette offices in all 16 regions and districts, to give priority attention to national service personnel who visit their offices to rectify these problems. This move aims to ensure that the affected individuals can quickly resolve their documentation challenges and complete the process on time.

The Authority also noted that the extension would benefit educational institutions that are still facing difficulties in submitting their students’ details to the NSA. By extending the registration period, the NSA hopes to create a fair opportunity for all qualified graduates to enroll smoothly and participate in the upcoming national service program without being disadvantaged by administrative or technical challenges.
