An A (80-100%) is the highest grade, earning 4.0 grade points, while an F (0-39%) is a fail, earning 0.0 grade points. Other grades include B+ (75-79%), B (70-74%), and C+ (65-69%), with grade points decreasing as the percentage lowers.

To determine a student’s Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), the grade points are multiplied by the course’s credit hours, summed up, and then divided by the total credit hours.

UEW requires a minimum CGPA of 1.0 to maintain good academic standing. For graduation, classifications are based on CGPA: First Class (3.5 – 4.0), Second Class Upper (3.0 – 3.49), Second Class Lower (2.5 – 2.99), Third Class (2.0 – 2.49), and Pass (1.0 – 1.99).
