Most students don’t understand why they received Ghc149.00 instead of Ghc200.00. Here is the real story.
Back in 2024, college management, PRINCOF, TTAG, SLTF and GTEC came together to decide on how the allowance should be disbursed to students and also on the feeding component. They decide to reduced the allowance allocated for students and added it to the feeding component. This agreement came as a result of high increase in prices of food products. The college stakeholders decide that, in order to provide quality food for students, they need to deduct an amount of Ghc51.00 from students Ghc200.00 and add it to Ghc200.00 allocated for feeding. So feeding allowance becomes Ghc251.00 and the allowance that comes to students pockets reduced to Ghc149.00.
That comes why students now received Ghc149.00 into their wallet instead of Ghc200.00 allocated previously.
Currently, the government is owing the students 3 months allowance which will soon be paid.
Students are advise to wait patiently and anticipate for the allowance.
